Libraries and frameworks are prewriten code that make common tasks easier to complete.
Library: a set of functions that you can call, often organized into classes, that are used alongside the application flow.
Framework: provides a structure to build an application within, often the framework replaces the application flow.

The use of coding libraries and frameworks are prohibited unless the assignment academic integrity guidelines (which we will review in the next chapter) permit it. The guidelines must both permit the use of libraries or frameworks and name the specific library or framework. If the specific library or framework is not mentioned in the assignment academic integrity guidelines, you may reach out to your professor and request permission.
The use of libraries and frameworks do not require any type of citation.
